Community Guidelines

Purpose

WatchWise lets you share film and series experiences through followers, reviews, lists, and profile surfaces. Disagreement is welcome; focus criticism on ideas, not people.

Respectful participation

• Keep criticism constructive and on topic.
• Do not post insults, threats, harassment, bullying, hate speech, or personal attacks.
• Do not discriminate on the basis of gender, language, religion, race, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
• Be clear and considerate around spoilers so other people can enjoy a title on their own terms.

Reviews, lists, and profile photos

Reviews and lists should reflect your own thoughts. Do not claim another person’s writing, images, or lists as your own.

Profile photos must not be pornographic, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, impersonating, or otherwise inappropriate. Photos may be safety-checked before becoming visible to others.

Privacy and personal information

Do not share your own or anyone else’s phone number, email address, address, banking details, passwords, private messages, or other sensitive information. Do not publish another person’s personal information or image without permission.

Reporting and blocking

You can report an inappropriate review, profile, or person in the app. You can also block a person to end interaction. A report does not automatically remove content, but provides the context needed for review.

Enforcement

Where we suspect a breach, we may remove content, reduce its visibility, limit a feature or account, or close an account for serious or repeated violations. These guidelines supplement the Terms of Use.
